List Administration

Note:
You must be an administrator of a list to perform most of the tasks below.
You will be prompted for your list administrator password.
If you are unsure of your password please contact the computer support desk.

Add list member(s) click here

Remove list member(s) click here

Manage mailing list subscribers' options click here

Approve or reject mailing list requests click here
Advanced Menu:

Enter the name of the list to manage (Including private lists):
- For a list of public mailing lists to manage click here (Does not include private lists)
OR
List Privacy:
To make a list private:
- Access the list via the field above and click submit.
- Click on "Privacy options"
- Click on "Subscription Rules"
- Where it says "Advertise this list when people ask what lists are on this machine?" select "No"
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Submit Your Changes"
- Then click on "Archiving Options"
- Where it says "Is archive file source for public or private archival?" click on "private"
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Submit Your Changes"
To make a list public:
- Access the list via the field above and click submit.
- Click on "Privacy options"
- Click on "Subscription Rules"
- Where it says "Advertise this list when people ask what lists are on this machine?" select "Yes"
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Submit Your Changes"
- Then click on "Archiving Options"
- Where it says "Is archive file source for public or private archival?" click on "public"
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Submit Your Changes"
Information Technology Services Tasks:
- To create a new mailing list click here. You must have list creator authority, and the list creator password.
- To delete a mailing list you must have shell access. Use the command: /mailman/bin/rmlist [LIST_NAME]
